TOOLS USED FOR VFX ( 2D/3D )

There are several kind of software’s are available to create required visual effects like Auto desk 3ds, Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Silhouette etc.,  The processes in the software’s considered as tools based on the needs of the workflow which is fulfilled by tools Rotoscopy, Adobe After Effect, Digital painting, Compositing, Design, Previsualization, Motion capture, cleanup Model, UVs Shaders, textures, Skinning, rigging, Matte paintings, Camera extraction, 3D data transfer, Animation, Simulation, Lighting, Rendering, Pre-comp, Composite Finishing, conform Editing Grade etc.,

Rotoscoping :

Rotoscoping is a vital process within the visual effects pipeline. In traditionally,  to tracing over live action footage frame by frame for use in animated films.

Tool – Adobe After Effect :

It is a digital effects, motion graphics, compositing application developed by Adobe systems & used in the post-production process for Film making & Tv production.

Digital painting : ( Filling up adding details)
Set Extensions tools like Photo Shop, Gimp, Maya,Nuke

 Compositing :

It means Software + Art mixing used as tools Photo shop, After effects, Nuke,3D compositing .

Create advanced graphics, color grade, or perform high-speed 2D and 3D compositing.
Expand layer-based timeline effects with a single click into a customizable, schematic view.
Maintain total control over lighting in your project.

Tracking/Match moving : (Creating 3D camera matching to real one)

Matchmoving, which is also referred to as motion tracking, is important for any VFX artist to understand... This process of matching the movement of the live action footage with a virtual camera is called matchmoving, because you are trying to match the motions of the camera.

ONE KIND OF THE EXAMPLE - USE OF SILHOUETTE SOFTWARE IN VFX :

Rotoscopy
This focuses on the significant updates to the UI, Trackers and Roto toolset. This is about fully articulated Rotoscoping. Fast.

Paint
Set up your Paint Node to work quickly between different tools and brushes. Then use Auto Paint to do the rest of the work for you.

Warping and Morphing
The new Morph Node opens up a whole world of opportunities. We start with fundamentals before making a cat talk and use an extreme morph example to show the concepts and practice.

S3D Node
Generate 2D-3D Conversions with enormous speed, flexibility and control. Use Silhouette's many tools and Nodes to make dimensionalization a snap compared with other techniques.

For tracking tools for CG artists
Such as F track, Cage, Scenios, Shotgun

Ftrack offers a wide range of tools to manage VFX and CG projects of any size,
Ftrack is primarily designed to manage the VFX on feature films, from assets to artists. But it does scale well, and so I've used it for much smaller jobs involving five or six artists.
With Ftrack, producers can schedule and assign shots to artists and get notified when the artist has finished a version, which can then be shared with the client, all from a web-based interface.
Senior artist and supervisors can add instructions to shots too. This means that when an artist starts their day, it's clear what they need to do and they can easily create dialogues with others on the team, which is all handled through Ftrack.

Cage is an excellent tracking tool for standalone artists who work both with stills and animation.

Scenios

Scenios offers a wide range of products to manage your project from shoot to delivery.

Shotgun
Shotgun offers desktop and iOS apps to help keep you abreast of your project while mobile
In many ways, Shotgun and Ftrack perform the same task. They'e similar in price, and Shotgun has recently adopted an interface that's as easy to navigate as the newer Ftrack. Where the main difference lies, though, is in Shotgun's new range of dedicated apps for mobile devices as well as applications for your desktop.

ANIMATION AND VFX IN MEDIA INDUSTRY

Both the industries play’s a wide role in the media industry, globally every year growth level leaps and bounds. The Animation & VFX industry is expected to grow at 16.3% to reach 95.5 billion rupees by 2019. VFX & Post-production services, meanwhile, are expected to grow at 26% and 22% respectively*. Nowadays, Software’s are used to create the required animated character or effects needed for the media platform.

Animation and visual effects have demands in many areas such as Television, films, advertisement, 3D visualization, creation and design of games for Pc, internet, gaming consoles like
PlayStation, Xbox etc.,
There are different kind of software’s used for this creations like  Autodesk 3dsmax, Autodesk Maya, Monkey Jam, Z Brush, Motion Builder, Stop motion pro, V-Ray, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Final cut Pro, Adobe premiere, Eye on Fusion, Nuke, Game Bryo etc.,
In film sector this kind of software’s are very helpful to create (Animation or the VFX) in Pre-Production, Production and Post production. By using the software’s we can make many editing works like 2D & 3D modeling, Texturing, Shading, Lighting, Rigging, 3D Animation effects, Rendering, Performance capture, Digital virtualization, Facial tracking technology,
3D scanning, Photo realistic CGI etc.,
